WANTED: Navy velvet Elizabeth Taylor gown

This is another gown Nolan did for Elizabeth Taylor that was inspired by her costumes for "Poker Alice."  Nolan was known for finding a look or pattern that he liked and making multiple versions and variations of that design.  The "Poker Alice" cut gowns for Elizabeth Taylor definitely exemplify this repetition.  However, this cut looks amazing on Elizabeth, showcasing her best assets, and hiding her problem areas, so it is a good look to keep repeating.  This gown would rank higher on my want list, but even though I do like this gown, I find it a bit plain and underwhelming compared to the other gowns Nolan designed for Elizabeth with a similar cut and style in purple, magenta, white, red, pink, etc.

WANTED: Black sequin floral lace Krystle gown

The original design of this gown is one of my top favorite Krystle gowns from "Dynasty".  Unfortunately it has been altered almost to the point of not being recognizable.  Because of this, it is no longer on my "Most Wanted" list.  The black floral lace exterior, trimmed in black reflective sequins, remains intact.  However, the original red satin slip has been removed and replaced by a nude satin slip, and the red satin sash has been discarded.  The gown in its altered form is very beautiful, and is actually more elegant and classic with the neutral nude colored slip.  However, now it is no longer a screen worn "Dynasty" costume and thus is less desirable of a piece.

My Collection: White velvet with gold metallic designs Dominique gown

This gown was worn by Diahann Carroll as Dominique Deveraux on the "Dynasty" spinoff "The Colbys."

Diahann wore this gown in episode 4 of season 1 "Family Album."

Dominique wears this gown to a party in Los Angeles to celebrate Jason Colby's clean bill of health after he thought he was terminally ill.

This gown is white panne velvet woven with flat, gold, metallic thread in an abstract free form pattern.  The pattern resembles a wood grain or animal print configuration.  The gown is one sleeved with a long train off the left shoulder that flows down the back of the gown to the ground.  A portion of ruched fabric begins at the right side of the waist, crosses diagonally over the chest, and connects to the train at the left shoulder.  The inside of the gown has a built in corset and there is a length of weights sewn into the hem all around the bottom.  The right side of the gown has a slit up to the thigh.  A headband turban of matching fabric was also worn with this gown but has since been separated or discarded.

WANTED: Orange crystal beaded Ginger gown

This gown was is one of the costumes Nolan Miller designed for Tina Louise for "Gilligan's Island."  Playing Ginger, the glamorous movie star, this gown could not be more perfect.  The character of Ginger was based on Marilyn Monroe and it appears this gown was also.  The cut and shape look very similar to what Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang "Happy Birthday" to President John F. Kennedy.  The gown is made of beaded orange material with dangling crystals sewn throughout.  I love this gown as it is very reminiscent of the end of the golden era of glamorous Hollywood.

MOST WANTED: Beige tweed Krystle suit with fox tail wrap

This beige tweed suit is very simple and understated, but is given a big splash of over the top glamour with a lush and bountiful cluster of fox tails.  Something about the simplicity and clean lines of the suit combined with the dramatic fur wrap makes this a costume I really love.  In terms of the suits and non-evening wear, this ensemble ranks as one of my top favorites.  Beige and taupe look wonderful on Linda, and this suit is no exception. This ensemble is my top favorite non-gown costume of Krystle's from "Dynasty."  Krystle wears this to the reading of Cecil Colby's will, which leads to some great dialogue between her and Alexis (who was wearing widow's black of course.)  Based on a side drawing in the sketch, the display mannequin, and the model from the fashion show, I believe this outfit was originally designed to be worn with a white wide brimmed hat.  However Linda did not wear a hat with this outfit on Dynasty.
